With the news that D4 Materials for SaleSeason 8 will nerf some of the "overpowered" builds, it's time to start speculating: What’s going to dominate next? If history teaches us anything, it's that whenever top-tier builds get nerfed, something new and unexpected rises to fill the gap.

I'm predicting that rogue builds — especially combo-point based ones like Twisting Blades — are going to surge in popularity. They’ve been strong for a few seasons but overshadowed by busted Sorcerer and Druid builds. Now that those top builds are getting hit, rogues could finally have their moment in the spotlight. Especially with some of the new seasonal mechanics rumored to boost mobility and crit-chance — rogue players are going to feast.

Necromancers might also make a comeback, but only if Blizzard gives minions some love. Blood and Bone builds are fun, but still a little squishy compared to armor-stacking metas. I’m…

Season 8 of D4 items  is shaping up to be a big one, especially with the news that we're getting new Legendary Aspects along with Unique items. I think this could have a massive impact on the current meta.

Right now, a lot of builds tend to converge on the same "best" Aspects once you reach higher World Tiers. There are maybe two or three real choices per skill or playstyle. Adding new Legendary Aspects could shake things up by giving us meaningful alternatives. Imagine if they added an Aspect that let a defensive skill also deal damage, or an offensive cooldown that gave buffs when used. It could open up entirely new builds instead of just slightly improving existing ones.

Personally, I'd love to see more Aspects that reward riskier, high-skill gameplay. Like, an Aspect that grants insane crit bonuses if you can stay at low HP for a while, or…
